Services Terms and Conditions

Valued Partnerships

As a business, we extremely depend on recurrent business and referrals from our client base. We aim to deliver customer satisfaction and outstanding service, always prepare to go the extra mile. Your agreement: By instructing Number 1 Cleaning Services either verbally, by phone, email, website or social media platform, the client agrees to be bound by Number 1 Cleaning Services terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are intended as a reference document and are fair to us and the client. They shall be governed by the relevant United Kingdom laws, should a legal dispute arise, the client agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts of the United Kingdom. In the unlikely event of a dispute, misunderstanding or complaint, we will endeavour to always offer a fair settlement. Number 1 Cleaning Services reserves the right to amend our terms and conditions without prior notice.

OBLIGATIONS

To provide a safe working environment for our staff (all cleaning equipment should be safe and in working order; securely fixed wardrobes, shelves, cupboards, mirrors, and pictures).
To provide all necessary cleaning equipment and materials (vacuum cleaner, mop, bucket, iron, ironing board, dusters…).
The client is responsible for providing access to the property at the schedule time. Customer agrees to pay the full price of the cleaning visit in the event of lock out caused by our cleaners being turned away; no one in the premises, or faulty client’s keys).
Number 1 Cleaning Services will not be responsible for triggering any alarm systems. Client should give any special instructions for activation & deactivation of any household or office alarm systems. When alarm codes are not provided, client should ensure alarm system is switched off on the day the cleaner arrives.
We do expect the client to provide security mat to place under the ironing board, to protect your floor or carpet from accidental damage done by hot iron where safety mat where unavailable.
The client is to ensure that there is hot water running and electricity in order to have their property cleaned efficiently.
If your scheduled service day falls on a public holiday, then this clean will be cancelled, and you should contact us to rearrange an alternative date. Unless your cleaner will agree to work on public holidays, and you agree to pay the surcharge; the service will be continuous.

PAYMENTS

Customer understands that any ‘late payments’ may be subject to additional charges.
You will be invoiced weekly. Failure to pay invoices within a week will incur late payment charges of 8% of every delayed payment. Please note all accounts beyond our credit’s terms will be passed to our debt collection agency. These accounts will also be subject to any legal costs incurred in obtaining settlement.
Payment can be made by standing order, BACS or cheque. Please write down your name and invoice number as reference when making payment. If paying by cheque The Client will be responsible for all bank and legal charges resulting from a dishonoured cheque.

COMPLAINT and CLAIM

If the client is dissatisfied with the work, a cleaner must be allowed to return and re do the job at no extra charge.
Complaints are accepted over the phone and in writing and must be reported on completion or in the following 24 hours. Number 1 Cleaning Services may take up to 7 working days to respond to a complaint.
Client’s physical presence during recovery clean is encouraged. Number 1 Cleaning Services reserves the right not to return a cleaner more than once.
Number 1 Cleaning Services reserves the right not to be liable for completing tasks which are not stated on our task list.

CANCELLATION

Client may cancel or adjust the time of a cleaning session by notifying at least 24 hours in advance.
Client agrees to pay the full price of a cleaning visit if the client cancels or changes the date or time less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
Client may terminate the cleaning service by giving a month advanced notice.
